How to use NVIDIA Inspector

NVIDIA Inspector software is distributed along with Profile Inspector 2.13 software. They complement the functionality of the already classic NVIDIA Control Panel. They can be used to overclock or monitor the GPU and tweak the graphics in the game.

This article will explain how to use NVIDIA Inspector and NVIDIA Profile Inspector. The software is distributed free of charge and is available to owners of green video cards. The first will come in handy to increase performance, and the second will help you change the graphics and increase the FPS.

How to properly configure NVIDIA Inspector

The main window contains detailed data of the installed graphics card (all its characteristics, driver version, temperature, and others). You can enable the display of monitoring on graphs by clicking Sensor Monitoring . They can be added or removed for yourself.


To use the graphics card overclocking tools, click Show Overclocking . Confirm your intentions in the window. The main part of the program will become available to you. To improve performance, you need to add a few points and poke Apply Clock & Voltage.

Important! Extreme overclocking can damage your equipment. During testing, after increasing the operating frequencies, be sure to monitor the operating temperatures. Exceeding them can harm the graphics processor and the system as a whole.

In the second half of the software, you can select the adjustable Performance Level [3] (P0) . Actually it also needs to be configured. Since the previous ones are responsible for 2D graphics and power saving mode.

Use the sliders and to adjust the frequencies. During acceleration, the frequencies can be increased in steps, for example, 10 MHz. After applying overclocking, check its stability. If successful, you can increase the frequencies a little more.

For safety reasons, video cards have consumption and temperature limits. The GPU can lower its frequencies in accordance with the declared power. Professional overclocking requires more power.

High overclocking is done with added voltage. This allows the GPU to take higher frequencies. It all depends on the specific video card model. May not be available on graphics cards.

Used to reduce high temperatures to normal. You can either use the Avto mode or uncheck the box to set your own value. Press Set Fan to apply the selected speed .

Some parameters can be locked, since they directly depend on the hardware component of the video card. Save your changes by clicking Apply Clocks & Voltage . If in doubt, then reset all settings by clicking Apply Defaults .

All changes, including successful overclocking, are reset after PC restart. This is because it is implemented at the driver level. If the overclocking is successful, for it to work, open the Create Clock Startup Task list and select Create Startup Shortcut .

Using NVIDIA Profile Inspector

Profile Inspector software is a bit like NVIDIA Control Panel. But it is more suitable for fine-tuning games. You can run it from the downloaded archive or in the NVIDIA Inspector program, click Start Profile Inspector (opposite the driver version).

In it, many parameters for image control are divided into sections: CompatibilitySynchronization and updateAntialiasingTexture filteringGeneral, SLIStereo and others.


You can experiment with all the graphics parameters at your leisure. Specify the required application in the Profiles list , otherwise all settings will be applied globally. After selecting the required parameter, change its value and click Apply changes .


The NVIDIA Inspector utility allows you to monitor sensor data and actually perform overclocking. Previously, the graphics card was overclocked via MSI Afterburner . Archived program and add-on NVIDIA Profile Inspector. With its help, you can fine-tune the graphical parameters of games.
